At Violet’s Paradise, every decision, from vine to bottle, is made with intention. Winegrowing, winemaking, and even packaging are approached as an extension of craft, care, and storytelling. Each bottle is a labor of love, reflecting a deep commitment to excellence and a reverence for the land.
This is a singular collection. A one-time release. Once it’s gone, it will never be made again.
Begin your journey with the Veraison Project collaboration Sparkling wine, a celebratory cuvée marking Brenae Royal’s 11-year tenure as vineyard manager at the iconic Monte Rosso Vineyard. Sourced from the Russian River Valley, this demi-sec sparkling wine features a thoughtful dosage of Sauvignon Blanc, bringing lift and precision. The wine leans into the elegance of Goldridge soils, offering a delicate balance of soft sweetness, crisp salinity, and refreshing brightness. It's an effortless expression of summer.
From there, discover the rare Semillon, crafted from some of the oldest Semillon vines in the world. Dry-farmed and deeply rooted, this wine reveals layers of honeydew, wet stone, and citrus blossom, carried by vibrant acidity and a refined mineral edge. Extremely limited in production, it is as fleeting as it is profound.
For those drawn to reds, the Grenache offers an unexpected entry point. This marks the first-ever standalone Grenache from Monte Rosso Vineyard. Light on its feet yet expressive, it opens with lifted, perfumed aromatics and glides across the palate with elegance. Despite its structure, it remains airy and balanced, an inviting and nuanced introduction.
Next, step into the old-vine Zinfandel, a true cornerstone of the collection. Sourced from multiple historic blocks across the vineyard, this wine is layered and dynamic, with a full-bodied presence that captures the depth and character of Monte Rosso. A standout favorite, it delivers richness, spice, and energy in equal measure, it's an undeniable expression of California Zinfandel at its finest.
At Monte Rosso, Cabernet Sauvignon reigns, though here, it carries itself with quiet confidence. This expression challenges expectation, offering a more restrained and lifted style. Notes of blackberry, baked cherry, earth, and black tea unfold with precision, supported by vibrant acidity. Approachable now without decanting, yet structured for longevity, it’s a study in balance and intention.
Finally, complete the journey with Cabernet Franc, a wine that redefines the varietal. Farmed with deliberate stress to minimize green characteristics, this expression reveals depth and complexity, with layers of forest floor, fresh herbs, violet, and a touch of mint. It is both grounded and expressive, offering a compelling close to the Violet’s Paradise collection.

Semillon
This Semillon hails from 3.82 acres of 1886-planted, dry-farmed, head-trained vines at Monte Rosso Vineyard, set at about 1,000 ft elevation. These are the world’s second-oldest Semillon vines, just 20 years younger than Hunter Valley’s oldest. Unique and expressive, the vineyard’s interplanted Palomino, Burger, Sylvaner, Lenoir, and Pinot St. George add extra complexity.
Grenache
Introduced in 2017, with more planted in 2018, Monte Rosso now has 3.96 acres of Grenache in two blocks (head-trained and VSP). Studied in the Moon Mountain District and added to complement our renowned Syrah, the volcanic soils lend this Grenache layers of red fruit, nutmeg, blackberry, and a hint of cinnamon. The result is a fresh, easy-drinking, one-of-a-kind wine.
Cabernet Franc
This wine comes from a 4.32-acre Cabernet Franc block at 1,000 ft. Over four years, farming was intensified to replicate an older dry-farmed block, known for concentrated flavors with less herbaceousness. The result is a wine reminiscent of a rainforest, imagine the cool, dewy essence of a pine-filled forest floor. It's a unique Cabernet Franc expression that minimizes green notes, t
Zinfandel
Crafted from blocks that include original 1893 plantings and nine trellis systems, this wine’s complexity reflects its varied vineyard sites. At ~800 ft, soft tannins emerge; at 1,000 ft, dark chocolate and coffee appear; and at 1,300 ft, spices, blackberry, tobacco, and a racy raspberry finish shine, balanced by tannin and acidity.
Cabernet Sauvignon
Sourced entirely from a 1996 block with cuttings from the original 1940 Los Ninos, America’s oldest Cabernet Sauvignon block, this vineyard spans from 1,200 to 1,000 ft at a southwest-facing slope across from the Semillon. Despite its challenging old trellising and inconsistent irrigation, minimal intervention was key. Think “baked cherry pie”: saturated red fruit, lingering spic
