Violet's Paradise Agriculture Scholarship

The Violets Paradise Agriculture Scholarship was inspired by my own experience receiving an

academic scholarship just before attending California State University, Chico. I remember the

immense relief I felt when I received that financial support at the last moment, it made a real

difference in my ability to attend college. Coming from a modest background, any assistance was

invaluable.

Through Violets Paradise Wines, I now have the opportunity to give back in a meaningful way.

Agriculture has always been a part of my life. I grew up farming and raising pigs, and I’ve

always loved being outdoors. When I was younger, I was once asked why I joined Future

Farmers of America, and my response was simple: because I get to work outside and bring my

dog to work.

Today, much of my time is spent at a computer, but my happiest moments are still out in the

vineyards, walking among the vines, feeling the sunshine on my skin, and breathing in the fresh

air. Agriculture is the foundation of society, yet there is a growing shortage of young people

pursuing careers in this essential field.

With this scholarship, I hope to be the support that a college student needs, just as I once

needed. In its first year, the scholarship will provide $1,000 awards, with the goal of significantly

increasing that amount over time. My hope is that this initiative will help students take steps

toward a future in agriculture and make a meaningful impact in their lives.
